Novice Black, U9 (2014, 2015), 2013-2014 (Lambton Shores Minor Hockey)

Feeding off the big game Thursday against Pt. Edward, Novice Black would head to Strathroy on Saturday to take on the league leading Strathroy Black.

Novice Black fresh off an exciting weekend in Clifford where the young Preds lost in the A semi final in double overtime, travelled to Point Edward tonight for a rematch against the Blackhawks.  Point Edward would jump out to a 3 - 0 lead but near the end of the 2nd with Hayden (the sniper) Wilson in the box Novice Black would apply the pressure on the penalty kill which would lead to rookie sensation Jack Rombouts scoring a short hand goal.

North Middlesex was in town for an exhibition game on Tuesday night and the young preds were eager to get this one going.

The snow, the lack of hydro or cold temps could not keep Novice Black down, but unfortunately a red hot Strathroy Black team was to much for these young preds to handle.  After a string of high tempo exciting hockey games against the top teams in the league, Novice Black seemed to be out of gas today.  There were some exciting moments in this one,

An undefeated Point Edward team was in town to take on a red hot Novice Black crew, fresh off an upset win last Tuesday over Strathroy Red.  These young Preds never skip a beat even when Point Edward scored 4 minutes into the game, they just bared down and dug for that puck even harder and with 5 minutes left in the 1st period Hayden (sniper) Wilson would feed a pass back to the point to Tim (Sharp Shooter) Bastiaansen, who would fire a laser beam of a shot that beat the goalie for his first goal of the year.
