Excellent Weekend for Novice Black
Feeding off the big game Thursday against Pt. Edward, Novice Black would head to Strathroy on Saturday to take on the league leading Strathroy Black.

Unfortunately, the young preds would end up on the wrong side on a 6-3 decision but they were in this one right till the end and definitely gave the league leaders everything they could handle.  Bending the twine for Novice Black were young Jack Rombouts with 2 and Kaylan Dinel with 1.  Assisting on the goals were Tanner George, Hayden Wilson and Cole Shaw.

Playing their 2nd game in as many days the young preds would this time head to Alvinston to play East Lambton White.  Kaylan Dinel would get the preds on the board early in this one, just 22 seconds in on a nice pass from Cole Shaw.  Four minutes later it would be enforcer turned sniper Hayden Wilson in what some would say was a Bobby Orr like finish as Wilson would fly through the air after finishing his shot.  Assisting on Wilson's goal was Kaylan Dinel.  East Lambton would score  their only goal of the game late in the period and Novice Black would take a 2-1 lead into the intermission.

The second period would be scoreless, but in the 3rd the young preds lead by the 2 goals of Ian Stewardson and the second of the game for Kaylan Dinel would put this one out of reach and the young preds would finish with a 5-1 victory.  Assisting on both of Ian's goals was Curtis Boere and once again Cole Shaw would get an assist on Kaylan's goal.

Once again these young preds show that HARD WORK AND TEAM WORK are what the are all about and the coaching staff could not be any happier with the effort these kids bring to the rink.

A big shout out to Brayden Prout for making some big saves this weekend and to Hayden Wilson for an excellent diving play to take away a scoring chance, and also Cole Shaw who is on a season high 3 game point streak!

Excellent job Preds!!!
