Point Edward Round 2
Novice Black fresh off an exciting weekend in Clifford where the young Preds lost in the A semi final in double overtime, travelled to Point Edward tonight for a rematch against the Blackhawks.  Point Edward would jump out to a 3 - 0 lead but near the end of the 2nd with Hayden (the sniper) Wilson in the box Novice Black would apply the pressure on the penalty kill which would lead to rookie sensation Jack Rombouts scoring a short hand goal.

Assisting on the goal was Nash (Turbo) Thomas, but it was for sure a total group effort.  The home team would get another to restore the 3 goal lead to end the second period but as soon as the 3rd started it was all the Preds.  Hayden (the sniper) Wilson put the Preds to within two after (crowd favourite) Cole Shaw went hard to the corner to dig the puck out and make a superb pass out front.  Pt. Edward would score their 5th and final goal of the game to make the score 5 - 2, but then the young Preds would start their comeback.  First it was Jack Rombouts with an unassisted effort to put the visitors back within two.  Then a minute and a half later it was Taryn (sour key) King bending the twine, with an assist going to Jack Rombouts and finally to complete the comeback, veteran Hannah Poland would score a power play goal off a nice face off win by Curtis (the bullet) Boere, her one timer would beat the goalie top shelf.

The coaches would like to say they are very proud of these young novice players as they never gave up and worked hard to comeback and tie a talented Pt. Edward team.  Great game everyone you should be very happy with yourselves!!!
