Last Second Heroics in Watford
We've seen a lot of hockey this year, but this game against East Lambton White has to be one of the best all around games Novice Black has played. It featured everything this young preds team has become famous for; great goal tending, strong positional play and of course outstanding defensive play from every single player.
The first two periods would be scoreless as the young preds would keep the pressure on even as they killed off 3 short handed situations. Leading the way on the penalty kill was Hayden (Mad Cow) Wilson with an outstanding end to end rush that had many fans thinking Sidney Crosby was on the ice.
In the 3rd period East Lambton would sneak one past the young preds team but with time running out East Lambton would take a penalty of their own. The coaches pull the goalie for a 6-4 player advantage and after some intense pressure and the clock running out of time, Ian (smooth hands) Stewardson would get the puck to Taryn (sour key) King and she would make no mistake burying the tieing goal just seconds before the buzzer.
Folks, this type of game is just one reason to come out and watch these young preds play, they give 110% every game!
