Novice Black takes on 1st Place Strathroy Black
League leading Strathroy Black team made a visit to T Town for a mid week exhibition game.  The game would start out with some exciting end to end action, with Novice Black showing they would not be intimidated by the Strathroy crew.

Halfway through the 1st Strathroy would strike twice and lead 2-0 at the end of one period.  Early in the second, rookie callup sensation Jack (cool as a cucumber) Rombouts would pull Novice Black to within one of Strathroy with his first goal on the Novice Black team.  The assist would go to Kaylan Dinel.  Strathroy would add one to go up 3-1 but then the Kaylan Dinel, Jack Rombouts combination would strike again, this time Kaylan with the goal and a nice pass from Jack Rombouts to get the assist, once again putting the young preds within one goal.

Strathroy would score late in the second to go up 4-2 after 2 periods of play.

Novice Black would battle hard in the 3rd period.  Keeping the energized crowd on the edge of their seats, but unfortunately that is as close as they would get as Strathroy would score a last second goal to seal the 5-2 victory.

Special mention to Brayden Prout for keeping us in the game by making the big save when needed and to Ian Stewardson and Cole Shaw for playing some of their best hockey of the season.  Also, Jack Rombouts and Kaylan Dinel for some excellent team work and passing.

Overall Novice Black played a Great game and gave 1st place Strathroy a run for their money!

Good job Novice Black!!!!
