Novice Black head into the Holidays on a high note
North Middlesex was in town for an exhibition game on Tuesday night and the young preds were eager to get this one going.

Novice Black had a couple of regulars out the with flu, so the coaching staff called upon a couple of even younger preds to form an ever so dangerous "tyke line" and it paid dividends early as Jack (Get-er-done) Rombouts lit the lamp for the home side 3 minutes into this one.  Assist to Kaylan Dinel.  Four minutes later, it was Kaylan this time with the goal off a nice passing play from Ian (smooth hands) Stewardson and crowd favourite Cole Shaw.  Then with 1:30 left in the period, veteran winger Hannah Poland fresh off her 2 point performance for the rep team, would take a pass from Kaylan Dinel and drive the net scoring on her own rebound.

In the second, North Middlesex would score two but Kaylan Dinel having himself a career night would restore the 2 goal lead for the preds, with the assist going to the other member of the Tyke line, who was making her season debut, Paige Poland.

In the third period it would be the Taryn (sour key) King show as this energetic centre would score a natural hat trick to seal the victory for Novice Black (7-2).  Assisting on Taryn's goals were Hannah Poland with 2 and Jack Rombouts with 1.

Special mention to our defence for their outstanding play tonight, Tanner (wild man) George for holding that blueline strong, Tim Bastiaansen for his hard shots on net, Nash Thomas for his fine defensive play in our own end and Madison (Mad Dog) Dinel for showing us her strong defensive side of the game!

Great job Novice Black and Merry Christmas!!!
