Novice LL Black, U9 (2014, 2015), 2012-2013 (Lambton Shores Minor Hockey)

What a great regular season it was for the Novice Black, even though the final series didn’t end up the way we had hoped.  Every player on our bench played their heart out for us this year which makes every game fun and exciting to watch.  After today’s game our dressing room was quiet, but still positive, and I think Benny summed it up best when he said, “At least we made it to the finals.” 

What a busy but exciting weekend of Hockey.  The Thedford tournament was excellent, with all players, coaches and parents having a great time.  Our team was strong and solid, and played hard in all three games.  Liam was outstanding and showed everyone why he is our number 1 goalie.  Our defence was amazing with Rayna, Abby, Matthew, and Bryce standing tall and holding the line, while our offence was a force up front, with Evan, Jace, Brent, Taylor, Hannah, Benny, Ashton, Tyler, and Hayden battling for the loose pucks in the corners. 

What an excellent weekend it was for the Novice Black. It was a full team effort that has given us a 2 – 0 series lead against Port Stanley.  Our Offence found it’s groove and scoring came from all 3 lines, while our defence was outstanding, holding off any attack. 

What a busy week it was for the novice Black, with 5 different ice times.  The last 3 games we played starting on Wednesday night, showed just how hard we work and how much we have improved.  Each game we played, was intense, fast paced, and excellent hockey to watch.  Our defence was incredible, standing up at the blue line time and time again and keeping the opposing teams away from our goalie.  Our offence was strong on the puck and drove hard to the net, and was winning puck battles in the corners.  Our goaltending was outstanding, 

First thing I would like to say is GREAT JOB NOVICE BLACK, that was 3 well played and hard fought games.  It was nice to see the energy and excitement on the bench and in the stands.  Every player worked extremely hard, and when we got down a goal they worked even harder,  every one of them should be proud of how they played.  Liam was solid in net, Matthew, Bryce, Rayna, and Abby were a wall on defence, while Jace, Evan, Brent, Taylor, Hannah, Hayden, Benny, Ashton, and Tyler were an offensive force to be reckoned with.
