First thing I would like to say is GREAT JOB NOVICE BLACK, that was 3 well played and hard fought games. It was nice to see the energy and excitement on the bench and in the stands. Every player worked extremely hard, and when we got down a goal they worked even harder, every one of them should be proud of how they played. Liam was solid in net, Matthew, Bryce, Rayna, and Abby were a wall on defence, while Jace, Evan, Brent, Taylor, Hannah, Hayden, Benny, Ashton, and Tyler were an offensive force to be reckoned with.
The competition was very close, which is nice to see
in a tournament like that, and anyone of those games could have easily gone the
other way.
Off the ice our group is just as good, it was great
watching the mini stick games in the halls, and the players having fun in the
pools and hot tub. Thanks to Shawn and Lisanne for making the
arrangements for the room and pizza on Saturday night, that is definitely the
way to go. And I did enjoy the late night parent meetings in the hallway,
and was quite surprised when Don was actually able to call out the
bigfoot.
