Fresh off a Tuesday night 0-0 thriller, Novice Black was back at it against East Lambton Gold.
On a mission to score a goal after being shut out the last 2 games, Novice Black would open the scoring 2:30 into the game when the Dinel cousins would team up. Kaylan with the goal and Madison with the assist. Then Taryn King playing the wing for the first time this year would strike twice for the visitors. Assists to Curtis Boere and Parker Lewis. In the second, veteran winger Hannah Poland would pick up her second goal of the season going to the dirty areas to clean up the rebounds. East Lambton would get on the scoreboard with 0.3 seconds left in the period but Novice Black would shake that off and come out strong in the 3rd. Crowd favourite Cole Shaw playing with his new linemate Hayden Wilson would not disappoint, after scoring in the 3rd with a missile of a shot, Cole had the crowd on its feet with another spectacular goal celebration. East Lambton would add another goal, but Novice Black would come out on the good side of a 5-2 score!
Special mention to Nash Thomas and Curtis Boere for some excellent passing at the end of the game, and Taryn King for some great back checking during the game.
