Novice Black Hosts East Lambton White
East Lambton White were back in town for a Tuesday night rematch. After a last second loss to Novice Black earlier in the year East Lambton was looking for some redemption.
Novice Black playing that team defensive system they have become famous for, would come out of the 1st period even at 0-0. Special mention to the penalty killers in that 1st period - Awesome Job!
The second period would start much the same as the first, until 3 minutes in when East Lambton would score their only goal of the game.
In the 3rd Novice Black would open things up a little playing a little more run and gun style, some great rushes were made by Ian Stewardson, Nash Thomas and Kaylan Dinel. East Lambton's goalie even stopped Cole Shaw's shot from the slot denying the fans another look at his twerking celebration. It would stay 1-0 till 4 minutes left in the game when the veteran line of Hannah Poland, Hayden (Sniper) Wilson along with rookie centre Taryn King, would march down the ice and tie things up on a nice shot from Taryn - assist to Wilson. After a couple more scoring chances by Novice Black the game would end in a tie. A big shout out to the Novice Black defence Tanner George, Nash Thomas, Tim Bastiaansen and Parker Lewis for their strong play!!
