Miley Cyrus makes an Appearance in Hensall?
Novice Black headed to Hensall this past weekend for their 1st tourney of the year.
First up, was Elmvale for a late night 9pm game. An energized Novice Black team would come out of the gate flying,
out shooting their opponents 20-5, but unfortunately Elmvale had a hot goalie and the Preds would come up short losing 2-0.
Saturday morning Novice Black would be back for an 11:00am game against Ingersoll showing no effects of a late Friday night. Novice Black held tough in a back and forth battle of end to end hockey. The final score would be 2-1 for Ingersoll; scoring for the Preds was Curtis (the Bullet) Boere, working hard and digging for those rebounds.
Then 2 hours later after a short break at the pavillion - thanks again Rob & Michelle and Dan & Jody, an eager Preds team would take to the ice to play the host BCH team. In probably one of the best games we have played this year Novice Black would score six times and with an excellent team effort, would not allow a goal. Goals were scored by Hayden Wilson, Taryn King, Kaylan Dinal with two and scoring their first goals of the year were Madison Dinel and Cole Shaw. Assists went to Curtis Boere and Parker Lewis. Highlights for the weekend were Parker Lewis being named Most Valuable Player for Novice Black (Congrats Parker) and Cole Shaw for setting the bar high for goal celebrations, Twerking all the way back to the blue line. (Miley Cyrus would be proud Cole!)
Awesome effort Novice Black only allowing 4 goals in 3 games showed some good team work!! Great weekend everyone!!
