Successful rematch with East Lambton Black
After a victory earlier in the week over East Lambton Black, the rematch was set for Saturday in Watford. A pumped Novice Black team
came out flying with rookie centre Taryn King putting the visitors ahead just 15 seconds into the game with a rocket of a shot that had just enough on it to cross the goal line. Then Kaylan Dinel fresh off a dominating performance in the 3rd period Tuesday night continued his strong play by scoring 2 twice in the last 2 minutes of the 1st period. Novice Black would add 3 more in the second period, 2 by Taryn King and 1 by Curtis the Bullet Boere. In the 3rd, East Lambton snuck one by stand out goalie Brayden Prout, but less than 2 minutes later veteran left winger Hayden (the Sniper) Wilson would respond for Novice Black. Assists in the game would go to: Hannah Poland, Madison Dinel, Cole Shaw, Hayden Wilson, Taryn King, Tim Bastiaansen and Kaylan Dinel.
Special mention to Cole Shaw for an awesome shot from the blue line that beat the goalie but unfortunately the ref blew the play offside.
And finally GOOD job Novice Black on your strong positional play. The coaching staff is really happy with how fast everyone is picking it up!!!!
