Season opener
Great Season opener Atoms! We started off at Mt. Brydges with both teams going hard. Mt. Brydges was on board first with an early goal, but the Predators responded quickly with a goal by #16 Carmen Kewageshig, assisted by #17 Darryl Ireland and #3 Wilie Van Beek. Both defense and forwards worked hard and put Mt. Brydges to the test.
The second period featured great goal opportunites from each line, but the Preds just missed putting another one past the Mt. Brydges goalie. Predators goalie Sammy "the wall" Dobroski frustrated the Mt. Brydges players with some great saves and kept us all on our seats. Near the end of the second, Mt. Brydges put their second goal on the board.
In the third, both forwards and defense put Mt. Brydges to the test. Some good work along the boards and hard shots from our defense kept the game exciting. The Preds pushed hard and chances looked good to get that tying goal, but Mt. Brydges managed one last goal late in the third for a 3-1 final.
Excellent effort by every player! Looks to be a great season Predator players and families!
