Predators come close
Atom LL's next challenge: Strathroy Red. Once again the Preds delivered an exciting game. Strathroy scored first at 8:27 of the first, but the Predators fought back and #11, Hunter Cable, tied it up at 4:09 of the first. Strathroy closed out the scoring in the first with one more goal, and we started the second down 1.
The second period featured some hard fought battles and the scoreboard reflected it. By the end of the period, we were tied at three with #20, Patrick Stewart and # 14, Logan Stewart each putting one away for the Predators. Early on in the third, Strathroy put away two back to back goals, making the score 5-3. But, the Atom LL Predators didn't give up. Hard scrambling to even the score resulted in a goal by Alicia Kewageshig, #15, and many more close chances. Final score: 5-4 Strathroy, but the Predators can be proud of battling to the end.
