Tyke 1 Red Predators defeat Ilderton Jets Gold!
Well it was another great day at the Legacy on Sunday! The kids have really been working hard and playing together well and it's showing big time!
With first time goalie in net, Garrett VanRooyen, he crushed most of the pucks before they had a chance of getting in! Awesome job Garrett!
Our goalie certainly couldn't do it by himself and thankfully as a team our defensive lines really stepped up to the plate! Adam was sure digging in to help his team by getting the puck out of our zone and it really paid off. Nice work Adam! And our Brooklyn always seems to be where the puck is, and is relentless to ensure it stays out of our end. Good work! Although on defense, we must give mention to Cole who had 4 break aways, almost getting a goal each time, but was robbed by the skills of the Ilderton Jets goalie. Nice try!
Our offensive lines were also hot on Sunday. Taryn not only got a hat trick but she surpassed expectations and got 5 goals during the game! Connor got 2 goals, Jack got 2 goals and Mara, Nash and Ava got a goal each. Congratulations to Ava on her first goal of the season! How exciting for everyone!
Well, I think the kids are up to the challenge of 2 games this coming weekend. Saturday at Stephen Township and Sunday in Thedford. Looking forward to watching the talent on this team continue to grow. You make us proud guys!
I think the coaching has something to do with it too, so thanks to the coaching staff and all the volunteers out with the kids at each practice. They certainly couldn't do it without you guys. Cheers!
