Road Trip to Lucan
The Novice Predators were on the road Saturday for only their 3rd road game of the year. After their first home win of the season the Preds were looking get some momentum going and keep their unbeaten record on the road this year.

The Preds jumped out to a great start when Ryan "The Bull" Vaughan won a battle along the boards in our end, carried the puck the length of the ice for a shot on net and Ryan "Richie" Richarson popped in the rebound in the first minute of the game. The Preds held on to the lead through the 1st period and controlled the play most of the way through.
The second period saw more great play by the Preds but the Irish were able to sneak 2 past Ethan "Pipes" Everaert to take the lead going into the 3rd.
The third period got a little scrambled for the Preds and Lucan opened up a large lead on three goals in 2 1/2 minutes and seemed to have the Preds down. The Preds showed a little life when Ty "T-Bone" Rannie netted one from Tyler "Shots" Stanton with about 5 minutes remaining but the Irish added one late to finish them off. You read that right folks, first goal - Ryan From Ryan, second goal Ty from Ty, we've got the kids with same names passing to each other now we will work on getting all the kids with the same jerseys passing to each other.
All in all not a terrible game but the point was emphasized that the difference between winning and losing in these games can be as little as one less hard stride on a play or just a little bit less effort along the boards in the third period and it turns a close game into a loss very quickly.
Hard hat goes to The Bull Vaughan who played a great game positionally and worked hard all game.
