Thriller in West Lorne
The Lambton Shores Predator Novice Rep team was on the road to West Lorne Sunday to take on the Comets. The Preds came out flying with 2 first period goals by Ryan"The Bull" Vaughan. Assists went to the Ty's... Ty-Bomb Wright and T-Bone Rannie.

T-Bone added to the lead in the second period assisted by Carson"Shifty"Peters and Ryan"Richie" Richardson and the Preds looked to be pulling away. The Preds had several chances and must have been told the West Lorne tender had a hole in his chest, because shot after shot went straight at the West Lorne Crest on his jersey. Not burying those chances could come back to haunt a team and West Lorne took advantage, scoring 3 goals in a little over 3 minutes to tie the game at 3 with less than 3 minutes to play.

The Preds dug deep and found the energy to fight back and poured on the pressure in the dying minutes and with 33 seconds left on the clock, T-Bone buried the winner assisted by The Bull. The Preds learned another lesson on this day, that you have to play the whole game, a 3 minute nap cost us the lead in this outing and could have cost us the game. They showed some mettle though, waking up in time to win the game, but the games are going to get tougher and tougher from here on out as we finish up our regular season and head into playoffs and tournaments.

Eric"Big Bird" Burget earned the Hard Hat for the game for his strong play on defence and hard work along the boards. Great job Big Bird!!
