Home date with Strathroy Rockets
The Strathroy Rockets blasted into town Friday night with an impressive 4-0 record ready to take on the hometown Lambton Shores Predators. The Preds knew about the Rockets record but were undaunted by it and ready to play. The Rockets lived up to the hype early and scored just better than a minute into the game to take the lead but Ty "T-Bone" Rannie answered 5 minutes later to knot the game at one after the first period. Hayley "Comet" Millar picked up the assist on the play.

In the second both teams battled hard and once again the Rockets took the lead slipping one past Ethan "Pipes" Everaert one minute into the period. It only took 20 seconds to answer back this time as T-Bone got his second of the game assisted by Ty " Bomb" Wright. Strathroy added another goal before the period ended to take a 3-2 lead into the third.

In the third frame the visitors proved too much for the Preds on this night as they notched 4 goals in a little over 5 minutes to open up a huge lead. A few breakdowns in our own end was what cost us on this evening and gave us something to work on in practice. T-Bone finished off his hat-trick with 19 seconds  remaining assisted by newly anointed Captain Ryan "Richie" Richardson. It was good to see the players putting the effort in until the final buzzer even with the game being out of reach.

Ryan "The Bull" Vaughan received the coveted hard hat for Pred of the game for efforts tonight.
