PREDS COME CLOSE IN TURKEY TOWN
Lambton Shores traveled to Strathroy to take on the power house Strathroy Jr. Rockets.
From the drop of the puck the Preds looked determined to build on Sunday's tough one goal loss to a strong South Huron Sabres. AP players Lucas Rogers and Tanner George were called up and fit right into the team concept as battles were won all over the ice. Constant pressure on the puck had the Jr. Rockets frustrated as they continued to take penalties. Some very timely saves by Bear kept this game close, including some great saves with out his stick. Hard work seen some close chances by AG and Bull Dog. On the end a late goal was scored on the power play to give the 2nd place Strathroy team the edge. "This team only has one league win? No way!!" was heard coming from the Strathroy fans as our teams was leaving. The coaching staff is extremely proud of the hard work the kids are putting forth and they know with hard work, attention to detail and sticking with a system good things will happen. Onward and upward Preds.... Lets go Blue Collar!!
