Season Opener - Thamesford
The Pee Wee rep team travelled to Thamesford for their season opener on Saturday September 21. With the short turnaround time between player assessments and league play, the coaches implemented strategies that players could grasp on short notice. The team responded with an up tempo style of play, consistent puck movement among all players and dominated time of possession. The Preds generated many scoring chances and created net traffic opportunities throughout the contest.
A solid defensive presence minimized quality offensive chances for Thamesford and our goaltender kept second chance opportunities to a minimum. A 1-0 victory was well earned. The coaches were pleased with the effort and style of play put forward. The contest also gave the coaches observable areas on which to improve and implement in practice. Great Start Pee Wees'.
