Respect in Sport Parent Program
Dear Parents,

In an ongoing effort to foster a safe and enjoyable environment for our players in our great game, the OMHA is implementing a plan to ensure the OMHA is a complete Respect integrated organization.

Effective August 31 31, 2014, at least one parent or guardian of each player registered in the OMHA will be required to complete the online Respect in Sport Parent Education Program as a condition of their child’s participation. Please note that this is a different course than the PRS or Speak Course that is a requirement to be an on-ice volunteer, part of a bench staff, etc. This course is designed for the Parent. The Respect in Sport Parent program is a proactive, educational program that empowers parents with the tools to ensure the game is enjoyable and respectful for themselves, their children and all other stakeholders in the game.

The cost is $12 per family ( one parent/guardian certified per family and the other parent, step parents, grandparents, kids, etc. can take the program for free by using the certified parent username and password).

Remember to make sure you put your profile to match your child or children.

Completion of this is not required for parents of players aged 18 and above.

Go to this link and scroll down for the information www.omha.net  and to access the course. It takes about an hour. This only needs to be done once.

Better to get it done now, then to procrastinate and realize that August 31, 2014 is here and your child can't be rostered.
