PREDS FOUGHT HARD IN INTERNATIONAL SILVER STICK
Atom Rep team did Lambton Shores proud this weekend.

Friday morning the Preds traveled the short distance to Watford to battle the invited East Lambton Eagles.  Lambton Shores knew they were in tough as they have faced the Eagles a few times this year.  The Preds started off slow allowing the the Eagles to gain a 2-0 advantage after 1.  The coaching staff must have said the right things as Lambton Shores came out flying trading goals all the way to the end.  Final Score 5-3 Eagles.

Friday afternoon the team met for an awesome pot luck lunch/dinner before our next game.  A big thank you goes out to all that brought yummy food and to Bear's mom Tracy for hosting.

Friday evening had our Predators up against another Predators team from Virgina. Piedmont, VA had come a long way and was looking to make a statement on a Canadian team. Lambton Shores held them in check for most of the game but after some bad bounces and and some break downs in the defensive zone the Preds dropped to 0-2 with a 4-1 loss.

Saturday morning on fresh legs the Predators still had a chance to make the semi-finals.  Lambton Shoes were in tough though as they had to win every period and have a very good margin of victory to move on.  After falling down to 2 quick goals the Preds looked to wake up scoring to make it a 2-1 game.  With 2 to go in the first the coaches had no choice but to pull the goalie to try and win the period.  An empty net goal would end the teams chances of moving on.  The Preds worked hard but fell to the Mariposa Lightning 6-2.

The coaching staff would like to say how extremely proud we are of the kids.  Each one of the teams in tournament either won or lost in the final to get to play in this tournament. No hanging our heads on this team.  We WILL GET THEM NEXT YEAR!!
