Novice Rep Wrap Up
What a great year this young team has had! With over 50 games played and 4 tournaments participated in, these kids have proved they’ve got what it takes to compete.

We kicked off the season with a few exhibition games before heading into the busy Shamrock schedule.  We faced some tough teams and saw a few blowouts, but the kids never gave up and always showed great sportsmanship at every game – win or lose. We ended the season in the middle of the pack, which the coaching staff is very proud of.
Novice Rep took a few road trips this season to participate in a number of tournaments. We first ventured to St. George to play in the Jack Tolhurst Memorial Tournament where we met up with some stiff competition and ended up as ‘B’ Finalists.
Next, we participated in the Regional Silver Stick Tournament in Parkhill over the Christmas break. All games were close, but we came up short each time.
The new year saw the team travel to Ann Arbor, MI to compete in the Big Thaw Tournament. This was by far the most exciting trip for the kids.  They played some of their best hockey here and they got to experience playing the game on an outdoor rink. They played their hearts out and ended up losing to a very strong Burlington team in the ‘A’ Final.
Finally, Novice Rep ended their season with the Gord Hymers Memorial Tournament in Listowel. Again, the team showed they were there to compete and ended the season as ‘A’ Finalists.
The coaching staff would like to commend this group of kids on all their hard work, team play, but most of all their professionalism and respect on and off the ice throughout the season. You are truly a great group of kids and it was an exciting year, with lots of great memories.
