Silver Stick Finals
Submitted By Darren Tichenoff on Sat 01 26, 13
The Atoms competed in the Forest Finals this weekend.  Lambton Shores reclassification put an extra challenge for the hockey club as they played in the 'B" division against centres of significant population difference.  The Atoms continued on their development path with a strong showing over 3 games.  The Atoms had leads, made comebacks, created quality scoring chances, minimized shot totals, got timely saves from their netminders, avoided penalty issues and competed at a level necessary for this tournament.  Congratulations Atoms, you continue to exceed expectations.  A well executed season team plan and a committed group of team players has made this success possible.  A few 'breaks' and this club plays Sunday among the top 4 clubs.  Great weekend!
